Appropriates $17,536,789.00 from the State General Fund for salaries, travel expenses, and office expenses of district attorneys and assistant district attorneys for fiscal year 2012 (July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2012).

Appropriates $546,750.00 from the State Prosecutor Compensation Fund for assistant district attorney salaries as authorized under Mississippi Code Section 25-31-5(1).

Allocates $1,170,000.00 of the appropriated funds specifically for district attorney office expenses.

Prohibits use of appropriated funds to reimburse district attorneys or staff for taxable meals within their geographical district.

Funds one full-time legal assistant position in the Sixth Circuit Court District and requires district attorneys to maintain accounting and personnel records in the same format as fiscal year 2011.
