Extends the repeal date of the Mississippi Public Defender Task Force from an earlier date to July 1, 2014.

Task force consists of 13 members representing public defenders, prosecutors, courts, attorney general, bar associations, supervisors, and legislative committees.

Task force duties include comprehensive study of indigent defense counsel needs by circuit court district, examination of existing public defender programs including youth courts, and study of other states' approaches to indigent defense.

Task force must provide annual reports to the Legislature at least one month before the regular session convenes.

Effective date is July 1, 2011.
