Reenacts Section 37-11-1 to allow parents or guardians of twins or higher order multiples to request placement in the same classroom or separate classrooms, with schools required to honor the request unless students are assigned by sex or the school board determines placement is disruptive.

Requires written requests for classroom placement be submitted to the school principal no later than 14 calendar days after the first day of school or the children's enrollment date.

Deletes the automatic repealer on the provision allowing parental choice for twin and multiple-child classroom placement from Chapter 484, Laws of 2009.

Authorizes local school boards to offer surplus inventory textbooks to parents or legal guardians of school-age children residing in the district, with parents responsible for returning textbooks or compensating the district for fair market value of unreturned books.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
