Increases annual salaries for Mississippi Supreme Court justices effective July 1, 2012: Chief Justice to $149,900, Presiding Justice to $147,000, and Associate Justices to $146,150 each.

Increases annual salaries for Mississippi Court of Appeals judges effective July 1, 2012: Chief Judge to $140,450 and Associate Judges to $136,450 each.

Increases annual salaries for chancery and circuit court judges to $136,000 each effective July 1, 2012, with an additional $5,000 annual supplement for circuit judges who preside over drug courts.

Requires the Attorney General to submit the act to the U.S. Attorney General or U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for approval under the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Establishes effectiveness date of July 1, 2012, contingent upon federal approval under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
