Amends Section 83-9-49 of Mississippi Code to prohibit abuse-related medical conditions from being classified as preexisting conditions in health insurance policies delivered or issued on or after July 1, 2011.

Abuse-related medical conditions, as defined in Section 83-71-5(b), cannot be denied, excluded, or limited as benefits under group or individual health insurance policies regardless of when the condition occurred.

Maintains existing preexisting condition limitations of 12 months for group policies and 12 months for individual policies, but carves out abuse-related conditions from these restrictions.

Does not apply to hospital daily indemnity plans, specified disease only policies, or other limited supplemental benefit insurance policies.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
