Recognizes Abdul Hamid as a National Achievement Scholarship Finalist and two former Oxford High School students (John Du and Samantha Nanayakkara) who were selected as National Merit Finalists

Notes Oxford High School was named a 2010 STAR High School by the Mississippi Department of Education and one of only two Mississippi high schools named as one of America's Best High Schools by Newsweek magazine for 2010

Attributes the school's success to teachers, students, and community commitment, and recognizes the school's role in preparing students to compete both locally and globally

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to the school's principal, all named finalists, and members of the Capitol Press Corps
