Commends Dr. J. Clay Hays, Jr. of Jackson for serving as Grand Marshal of the December 4, 2010 Jackson Christmas Parade, during which he rode a stationary bicycle on a float to promote healthy living.

Recognizes Dr. Hays as a cardiologist at Jackson Heart Clinic and member of the Governor's Task Force on Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention, the Mississippi Tobacco Control Advisory Council, and Chairman of the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership.

Acknowledges Dr. Hays's efforts to promote health through initiatives including a network of multipurpose trails across Jackson, Ridgeland, Flowood and Canton, and his work with organizations focused on child exercise and obesity prevention.

Notes Dr. Hays holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi and medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, with residency and fellowship training at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and University of Mississippi.
