Pearl High School Boys Pirates Soccer Team won the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 5A State Championship with a 19-2-5 record in the 2010-2011 season.

Team defeated East Central Hornets 6-0 in the state finals, marking their eighth overall state championship and sixth in the last seven seasons.

Pirates outscored opponents 67-15 with 14 shutouts and were ranked No. 1 by The Clarion-Ledger and No. 3 regionally by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Head Coach Andrew Kivlan and Assistant Coach Chris Rash are recognized for their leadership, with Kivlan named Coach of the Year by The Clarion-Ledger and having won four state championships in his five years as coach.

Legislature commends and congratulates the team, coaches, and players for their outstanding season and athletic excellence.
