Recognizes and commends Mississippi state agency employees for their commitment and sacrifice in responding to the British Petroleum Deepwater Horizon oil spill that began on April 20, 2010.

Documents that 13 state agencies and entities logged over 350,000 man-hours responding to the spill, including more than 35 flying sorties totaling over 1,000 hours and 75,000 man-hours on diving and sample collection.

Acknowledges employees coordinated response efforts with agencies from Louisiana and Alabama, the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Public Health Service, other federal agencies, and British Petroleum.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to executive directors and leadership of all participating state agencies and the Capitol Press Corps.
