Appropriates $7,284,121.00 in state general funds to the Department of Public Safety, Division of Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol for fiscal year 2012 (July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012).

Funds are designated to cover expenses for a 60-member Highway Patrol trooper training class at the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy.

Authorizes 60 permanent full-time positions to replace retiring active patrolmen and prepare for potential future retirements.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
