Amends Section 5-1-41 of Mississippi Code to prohibit legislators from receiving additional compensation for extraordinary sessions held while the Legislature is already convened in regular session.

Maintains existing compensation structure: $10,000 per regular session plus mileage allowance, and $75 per day for extraordinary sessions with mileage.

Eliminates the $75 daily payment for extraordinary sessions that occur on days when the Legislature is receiving regular session compensation.

Requires the Attorney General to submit the act to the U.S. Attorney General or U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for approval under the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Takes effect upon approval under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
