Amends Section 63-7-47 of the Mississippi Code to add nighttime safety lighting requirements for timber product loads on motor vehicles.

Requires vehicles transporting timber products that extend more than 4 feet beyond the vehicle bed or trailer to display a rotating or oscillating amber strobe-type lamp or light-emitting diode light at the end of the load from one-half hour before sunset to one-half hour after sunrise.

Maintains existing daytime requirement for a red flag or cloth not less than 16 inches square when any load extends 4 feet or more beyond the rear of the vehicle.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
