Amends Section 63-11-19 of the Mississippi Code to remove the State Crime Laboratory's responsibility for calibrating methods, machines, or devices used in chemical breath analysis.

Maintains that chemical analyses of breath, blood, or urine must still be performed according to methods approved by the State Crime Laboratory and the Commissioner of Public Safety.

Continues to require that analyses be performed by individuals with valid permits issued by the State Crime Laboratory.

Specifies which law enforcement officers are authorized to receive permits, including State Highway Patrol members, sheriffs and deputies, city police, campus police, and certain other designated officers.

Takes effect upon passage.
