Expands jurisdiction for construction lien suits to include county courts in addition to circuit courts for claims exceeding $200.00.

Changes the statute of limitations trigger to begin 12 months after "the last of the labor was performed or material or rental or lease equipment was supplied" rather than when payment became due.

Maintains requirement that suits be commenced by petition describing the property, contract, indebtedness amount, and bill of particulars showing labor performed, materials furnished, prices, and dates.

Effective date: July 1, 2011.
