Increases minimum font size requirement for legal documents presented for recording from 8 point to 12 point font, effective July 1, 2011.

Requires that the first page of real property instruments filed with the chancery clerk include contact information (mailing address, business/employment telephone number, and residential telephone number) for all parties, including grantors, grantees, borrowers, beneficiaries, and trustees.

Allows recorders to charge an additional $10 recording fee for documents that do not substantially conform to format standards, applicable only to documents dated on or after July 1, 2009.

Exempts certain documents from format requirements, including those executed before July 1, 2011, military separation documents, documents executed outside the U.S., certified copies from courts, and federal tax liens.

Specifies that failure to conform to format standards does not affect the validity or enforceability of the document or instrument.
