Transfers organic certification authority from the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce to accredited certifiers under the USDA National Organic Program standards.

Eliminates the requirement that sellers of organic food be certified by the state department; instead requires certification by an appropriate accredited certifier.

Shifts inspection responsibilities from the Department of Agriculture to certifiers, who will conduct inspections of certified producers, processors, retailers, and applicants.

Repeals the advisory committee to the organic certification program and the authorization to develop certification programs for organic meat, fish, poultry, and seafood.

Establishes a sunset date of July 1, 2013, after which these amendments automatically repeal unless reauthorized.
