Eliminates the one-week waiting period requirement for unemployment compensation eligibility in Mississippi until July 1, 2013.

Allows individuals to receive benefits immediately upon meeting other eligibility requirements during the temporary elimination period.

Restores the one-week waiting period effective July 1, 2013, returning unemployment eligibility rules to their previous standard.

Amends Section 71-5-511 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to implement the temporary change.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
