Amends Section 97-37-7 of the Mississippi Code to authorize county medical examiners, their deputies, county medical examiner investigators, and their deputies to carry concealed weapons without a permit while performing their duties.

Adds these coroner positions to the list of law enforcement and official personnel already authorized to carry weapons, including district attorneys, judges, and various law enforcement officers.

Requires any authorized person to complete a weapons training course approved by the Board of Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Training before carrying a weapon.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
