Expands the definition of prohibited knives for convicted felons to include lock-blade knives, machetes, and any knife or bladed instrument with a blade exceeding three (3) inches in length.

Adds "any other deadly weapon" to the list of items convicted felons are prohibited from possessing.

Maintains existing penalties for violations: fines up to $5,000, imprisonment of one (1) to ten (10) years, or both.

Preserves existing exceptions allowing possession if the person received a pardon, federal relief from disability under 18 U.S.C. § 925(c), or a state certificate of rehabilitation.

Effective date: July 1, 2011.
