Elections officials must utilize at least 75% of all voting machines available to their county or municipality in each primary or general election.

Election officials must print official ballots in a quantity equal to not less than 75% of registered voters eligible to vote in each primary or general election when using optical mark reading equipment.

Election officials must utilize at least 75% of all direct recording electronic (DRE) voting units available to their county or municipality in each primary or general election.

The Mississippi Attorney General must submit the act to the U.S. Attorney General or U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for approval under the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

The act becomes effective upon approval under the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
