Extends the repeal date for the Mississippi Forestry Commission's authority to employ law enforcement officers from June 30, 2011 to June 30, 2014

Maintains the Commission's authorization to appoint six law enforcement officers with authority to bear arms, investigate, and make arrests specifically for woods arson cases

Officers may issue citations for violations involving recklessly or with gross negligence causing fire to burn another person's land

Evidence of reckless or grossly negligent burning includes having a brush, debris pile, or other burning material without taking reasonable and prudent efforts to prevent fire spread onto neighboring lands

Law enforcement officers must comply with applicable minimum educational and training standards for law enforcement officers
