Requires certified emergency telecommunicators to complete 48 hours of continuing education every 3 years after obtaining initial minimum standards certification.

Continuing education courses must be approved by the Board of Emergency Telecommunications Standards and Training.

The Board shall reimburse agencies for all expenses incurred by telecommunicators attending approved training programs.

Certifications are issued separately for law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical service telecommunicators.

Effective date is July 1, 2011.
