Allows retired public schoolteachers with at least 30 years of creditable service who have been retired for at least one year to be reemployed as teachers in critical teacher shortage areas designated by the State Board of Education while continuing to receive their retirement allowance plus a teacher's salary.

Provides two options for rehired retired teachers: Option A requires no contributions and accrues no additional benefits, with school districts transferring adequate education program funds to the retirement system; Option B allows teachers to contribute and accrue a separate new retirement benefit.

Requires the hiring superintendent to certify in writing that the retired teacher has requisite experience and training, that no other qualified persons are available, and that there was no preexisting arrangement for the hire.

Requires the State Superintendent of Public Education to certify that the school district serves an area lacking qualified teachers and must report all persons employed under this section to the system executive director.

Takes effect July 1, 2011, and makes conforming amendments to sections 25-11-103, 25-11-105, 25-11-123, and 25-11-127 of the Mississippi Code.
