MS SB2639

Authorizes a circuit court to restore voting rights to individuals who lost suffrage due to a criminal conviction and have not been pardoned.

Allows individuals to apply to the circuit court in either the county where they were convicted or the county where they reside.

Grants the court discretion to fully restore voting rights as if the Legislature had passed a special act under Section 253 of the Mississippi Constitution of 1890.

Takes effect July 1, 2011.
