Division of Medicaid shall design and implement a temporary program providing adult day care assisted living services for individuals age 65+ or disabled, with income not exceeding 135% of the nonfarm official poverty level, and resources within division-established limits as of December 31, 2011.

Adult day care services may be provided by public or private entities and individuals, including faith-based organizations, to assist with personal needs and allow family members or caregivers to work or conduct necessary business.

Division shall reimburse service providers in accordance with mutually agreed upon reimbursement schedules.

Program shall be funded from monies appropriated or otherwise made available to the Division of Medicaid and operates as a separate program not connected to the Medicaid program, with the division serving only as administering agent.

Act takes effect July 1, 2011.
