Prohibits counties and municipalities from designating a local holiday in place of November 11 (Armistice or Veterans Day), making it a protected legal holiday that cannot be substituted.

Requires all public schools in Mississippi to conduct appropriate exercises in honor of Armistice (Veterans) Day.

Authorizes school district superintendents to invite uniformed military personnel, uniformed veterans, or families of fallen military personnel to participate in Veterans Day school exercises.

Permits school bands and their directors to perform at Veterans Day exercises upon request of public officials or veterans associations without loss of program credit for students or leave for personnel.

Effective date is July 1, 2011.
