Requires health insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and managed care organizations in Mississippi to provide coverage for hearing aids for dependent children under age 21

Limits coverage to $1,500 per hearing aid for each hearing-impaired ear every 36 months, with hearing aids fitted and dispensed by licensed professionals after medical clearance

Provides coverage for up to 4 additional ear molds per year for children up to 2 years of age

Allows insured individuals to choose higher-priced hearing aids and pay the difference without penalty to the provider

Applies to new policies issued on or after July 1, 2011, with existing policies required to convert by their renewal date or no later than January 1, 2013, regardless of whether hearing impairment is a preexisting condition
