Amends Mississippi Code Section 27-19-48 to authorize owners of noncommercial trailers to obtain personalized license tags, in addition to motor vehicle owners who already had this option.

Personalized tags for trailers consist of up to seven letters or numbers, chosen by the owner, with the same restrictions on obscene or vulgar combinations that apply to motor vehicles.

The additional fee for personalized trailer tags is $30.00 annually, with 5% retained by the county tax collector for the county general fund and the remainder split between the State General Fund ($16.25) and State Highway Fund.

Applicants may request up to five different letter and number combinations in order of preference, and receive a refund if their requested combination is unavailable.

The act takes effect July 1, 2011.
