Authorizes certified burn centers designated by the Mississippi Department of Health to participate in the Mississippi Trauma Care System Fund and Mississippi Burn Care Fund programs.

Allows the University of Mississippi Medical Center to establish a separate burn unit, contingent upon the Board of Trustees determining adequate funding is available from public or private sources.

Provides that the Joseph M. Still Burn Centers in Augusta, Georgia, and the Mississippi Burn Center at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, Mississippi, receive reimbursement for uncompensated burn care services to Mississippi residents, effective July 1, 2009.

Requires the Board of Health to develop a burn care plan operational by July 1, 2011, including systems for assigning burn patients to certified burn centers and allocating Mississippi Burn Care Fund resources.

Effective July 1, 2011.
