Extends the appointment of "commissioners to assess levee damages" to include that part of Warren County lying within the Mississippi Levee District, adding it to existing coverage of Bolivar, Washington, Issaquena, Sharkey, and Humphreys Counties

Circuit judges must appoint three disinterested, resident freeholders as commissioners to serve four-year terms, with appointments made on or before the first Monday in July every fourth year

Commissioners assess compensation for landowners whose property is taken or damaged for levee construction, maintenance, repair, drainage ditches, cut-offs, channel improvements, and other flood control projects along the Mississippi and Yazoo River systems

Either the Board of Mississippi Levee Commissioners or property owners may appeal commissioner awards to chancery court within 10 days, where a jury of 12 disinterested freeholders will decide the matter

Commissioners receive per diem compensation and mileage reimbursement from their respective county treasuries as authorized under Mississippi Code
