Authorizes the City of D'Iberville to levy a tax of up to 2% on gross proceeds from hotel and motel room rentals and up to 2% on gross proceeds from restaurant sales, in addition to existing taxes.

Revenue from the tax must be dedicated solely to promoting tourism and parks and recreation, and cannot be considered general fund revenue.

The Department of Revenue collects and administers the tax, retaining 3% of proceeds to cover collection costs, with remaining funds paid to the city by the 15th of the following month.

Tax implementation requires City Council to adopt a resolution and hold an election where at least 60% of qualified voters must approve the tax; notice must be published for three consecutive weeks before the election.

All provisions of this act automatically repeal on July 1, 2015; separate accounting and annual independent audits of tax revenues are required.
