Recognizes and commends David W. Waide upon his retirement as the eighth President of the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation and his receipt of the 2010 MFBF Distinguished Service Award.

Acknowledges Waide's 14 years of service as Mississippi Farm Bureau President, including leadership during Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts and coordination of relief funds for affected producers.

Notes Waide's advocacy for farmers' interests in the Legislature and with regulatory agencies, and his involvement in the writing of three Farm Bills that establish government agricultural support programs.

Highlights Waide's extensive background in agricultural organizations, including service as Clay County Farm Bureau President for 15 years and director positions with the Federal Land Bank, Soil & Water Commissions, and American Farm Bureau Federation.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Waide and his family, forwarded to the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
