Recognizes Delta State University Head Football Coach Ron Roberts for receiving the FieldTurf NCAA Division II "Coach of the Year" Award for the 2010 season on January 7, 2011.

Acknowledges the Delta State football team's achievement of reaching the NCAA Division II National Championship game on December 18, 2010, finishing the season 11-4 and becoming the first unranked team to play in the championship game.

Notes Coach Roberts' coaching history including positions at Texas State University (2003), Tusculum College, Greensboro College, and various high schools before joining Delta State in January 2007.

Recognizes Roberts' playing career as a two-time All-Conference linebacker at College of Sequoias and his transfer to University of Tennessee at Martin, where he helped the team win the 1988 Gulf South Conference Championship.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Coach Roberts and forwarded to Delta State University President Dr. John M. Hilpert and the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.
