Recognizes and congratulates Mr. Garfield Griffith of Jackson, Mississippi on his 100th birthday on February 15, 2011.

Notes that Mr. Griffith was born February 15, 1911 in Prentiss, Mississippi and lived in Jefferson Davis County for 41 years before relocating to Jackson in 1952 where he worked as a farmer, entrepreneur, and carpenter.

Acknowledges Mr. Griffith's role in constructing Davis Temple Church of God in Christ where he has served as a Deacon and Board of Trustees member.

Recognizes that Mr. Griffith's 100-year lifespan witnessed 17 United States Presidents, 36 Attorneys General, and 26 Mississippi Governors, as well as major historical events including the invention of the automobile, the Wright Brothers' flight, and the moon landing.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Mr. Griffith and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
