Notes that James was crowned Miss Mississippi in June 2010 at the Vicksburg Convention Center and will suspend her college career to serve as Miss Mississippi while promoting organ and tissue donation.

Highlights that James is a member of Chi Omega Sorority and volunteers for organizations including MORA (Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency) and her local Madison United Methodist Church.

States that James will receive over $10,000 in scholarship funds upon completion of her reign and will serve as a Goodwill Ambassador representing Mississippi at civic and charitable functions.

Extends the Legislature's best wishes to James and her family during her year as Miss Mississippi.
