Recognizes March 24, 2011, as "World Tuberculosis Day," commemorating Dr. Robert Koch's 1882 discovery of the tuberculosis bacterium.

Notes that tuberculosis causes disease in over 100 Mississippi residents annually, with an estimated 2,800 infected with latent TB.

Highlights that Mississippi is currently treating 3 cases of multi-drug resistant TB (MDR-TB), which costs approximately $483,000 per case to treat.

Directs the resolution be forwarded to the State Board of Health for distribution and provided to the Capitol Press Corps.
