Recognizes Ernest "Sonny" Cadden's career as Band Director at Amory High School in Amory, Mississippi, on the occasion of his retirement.

Documents Cadden's achievements including increasing band enrollment from 54 students to 132 by 1977 and improving State Band Festival scores from threes and fours in 1971 to all ones by 1974.

Notes Cadden's prior accomplishments at Leland High School where he served 14 years as band and choral director and was selected as one of the top ten band directors in the United States and Canada in 1969.

Highlights Cadden's legacy as a four-time Concert Director of the Mississippi Lions All-State Band and member of the Mississippi Bandmaster's Hall of Fame.
