Commends and congratulates the H.W. Byers High School "Lady Lions" girls basketball team and Coach Jason Thompson for winning the MHSAA Class 1A State Championship on March 17, 2011.

Team won their third state championship in five years, having previously won Class 2A titles in 2008 and 2009.

Junior Alexis Hardaway was named "Player of the Game" after scoring 18 points in the championship game, a 48-43 victory over Coldwater.

Lists all 14 members of the 2010-2011 roster and recognizes Coach Thompson's role in building a championship program over 10 years.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Coach Thompson and the Principal of H.W. Byers High School and forwarded to the Marshall County Board of Education.
