Commends Ralph Barnes, a Canton resident, for his dedicated service to the Mississippi State Board of Contractors and the construction industry.

Recognizes Mr. Barnes's rise from laborer to president and owner of ADCAMP, Incorporated, a major road building and paving materials supplier in Mississippi and neighboring states.

Notes that as a board member appointed by Governor Haley Barbour, Mr. Barnes helped secure over 1,500 violations resulting in more than $2.5 million recovered by the State of Mississippi.

Highlights his stewardship in directing recovered fines toward educational grants for construction-related programs at institutions including Mississippi State University, University of Southern Mississippi, and Hinds Community College.

Recognizes his extensive service in private sector construction organizations including the Mississippi Asphalt Paving Association, Mississippi Road Builders Association, and Mississippi Home Builders Association, as well as community boards.
