Limits liability of licensed pilots and pilot trainees for damage or loss caused by their error, omission, fault, or neglect during pilot services, except for willful misconduct or reckless disregard for safety.

Excludes liability related to pilot boat ownership and operation unless the boat is directly involved in pilot services beyond transporting pilots.

Maintains full liability of vessels and their owners/operators for damage or loss caused by the vessel, regardless of whether a licensed pilot was involved.

Prohibits courts from holding a pilot liable for claims arising from another pilot's or pilot organization's acts or omissions related to pilot services.

Effective July 1, 2012 for all causes of action accruing on or after that date.
