Amends Section 37-9-21 of the Mississippi Code to prohibit school superintendents, principals, and licensed employees from being hired if they are related within the first degree (by blood or marriage) to any appointed member of the school board.

Expands existing restrictions to prohibit school board members from voting for any superintendent, principal, or licensed employee who is related within the first degree to any appointed board member.

Maintains existing restrictions against hiring employees related within the third degree to a majority of board members or dependent on board members for financial support.

Voids any contracts entered into in violation of these nepotism provisions.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
