Amends Section 45-33-32, Mississippi Code of 1972, to clarify that sex offenders convicted of sex offenses must notify volunteer organizations in writing of their conviction status when volunteering for organizations where volunteers have direct, private, and unsupervised contact with minors.

Requires organizations that accept a sex offender as a volunteer after receiving notification to inform parents or guardians of any minors involved in the organization of the offender's criminal record.

Applies the notification requirement to all registered sex offenders regardless of when their conviction occurred.

Requires sex offenders currently volunteering for such organizations to either resign or notify the organization immediately upon receiving notice of their duty, or face penalties under the chapter.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
