Newly elected county supervisors may request an audit of all equipment, supplies, and inventory within their district within 60 days of taking office.

County supervisors may file a petition in court to reclaim missing equipment, supplies, or inventory from their predecessor or recover the monetary value of missing items.

The Mississippi Attorney General must submit the act to the U.S. Attorney General or U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for Voting Rights Act compliance.

The act takes effect upon approval under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, as amended and extended.
