Amends Mississippi Code Section 41-29-117 to explicitly classify butalbital as a Schedule III controlled substance under the depressants category.

Adds butalbital to the list of barbituric acid derivatives that are controlled substances when found in compound, mixture, or preparation form with other active medicinal ingredients.

Clarifies that butalbital-containing substances are not exempt from Mississippi's Uniform Controlled Substances Law, unlike certain other Schedule III substances listed in federal regulations.

Takes effect immediately upon passage.
