Amends Mississippi Code Section 97-45-19 to add "damage a person's identity by fraud" as a prohibited purpose for obtaining someone's personal identity information without authorization

Identity theft remains punishable as a felony with 2-15 years imprisonment and/or fines up to $10,000

Violations involving less than $250 may be charged as a misdemeanor with up to 6 months in county jail and/or fines up to $1,000

Convicted individuals must pay restitution plus legal interest in addition to any fines or imprisonment
