Amends Section 45-1-43 of Mississippi Code to require local law enforcement policies to prohibit vehicular pursuits that continue more than one mile into another municipal jurisdiction

State, county, and local law enforcement agencies that conduct emergency response and vehicular pursuits must maintain written policies and training procedures governing these operations

Law enforcement agencies failing to comply with these requirements are subject to withholding of state funding or state-administered federal funding

Effective date: July 1, 2012
