Amends Mississippi Code Section 97-3-19 to add uniformed officers of the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks to the definition of "peace officer" for capital murder purposes.

Killing a uniformed Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks officer while acting in official capacity, with knowledge of their status, constitutes capital murder.

Adds uniformed officers to the existing list of law enforcement personnel whose murder is classified as capital murder, including sheriffs, police officers, conservation officers, and other designated peace officers.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
