Amends Mississippi Code Section 97-17-41 to require restitution for grand larceny convictions based on the actual cost of replacement or repair of stolen property.

Restitution must be calculated on replacement or repair costs rather than fair market value of the property.

Applies to persons convicted of feloniously taking personal property valued at $500 or more, or property from churches, synagogues, temples, or other established places of worship valued at $500 or more.

Effective July 1, 2012.
