Amends Section 25-11-109 of the Mississippi Code to allow county and municipal election commissioners to receive creditable service in the Public Employees' Retirement System for their terms of office.

Modifies the exception that previously prohibited appointed or elected officials compensated on a per diem basis only from earning creditable service for their terms of office.

Election commissioners are now exempted from the per diem restriction, allowing them to accumulate retirement service credit for their service.

Effective July 1, 2012.
