Amends Mississippi Code Section 11-7-15 to add an "open and obvious" defense to personal injury lawsuits.

Establishes that property owners and those in control of property have no liability for injuries when the dangerous condition is not dangerous or when the condition is known or should be known and obvious to the injured person.

Preserves the existing comparative negligence standard where damages are reduced based on the injured person's proportional negligence.

Effective date is July 1, 2012.
